The Dr. John Snow Memorial Scholarship is funded and administered by the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Optometrists.
Dr. John Snow was a long-time member of the association who began practicing optometry in Newfoundland and Labrador in 1965. Dr. Snow died suddenly on December 15, 2003. The association established the scholarship in his memory in recognition of his contribution to the association and the profession of optometry.
This scholarship is available to students from Newfoundland and Labrador who meet residency requirements and are in their final year of an approved professional optometry program. The recipient of this award will receive a one-time payment.
